CM Journal Pages 6: Who Are
We?So who are we? When I asked this question of my Guidance the answer came in a surprising
way. I was directed to open my own book, Hiring the Heavens, and specifically to an italicized sentence in the first
chapter that reads: "By divine design we are creators, and it is our
birthright--indeed, our directive--to joyfully wield the power of the Universe." I couldn't stop reading
it. Although written more than two years prior, the fullness of its meaning had completely escaped me. What this sentence says is that first and foremost we are creators. Creators of what? Well,
we are here as creators of experience. Experience, as defined in Webster's
Dictionary, is "practical knowledge derived from direct participation". In other words, you lived it.
And why do we create experience? Again, Webster gives us the answer. We design an experience so that
we can know the truth of that experience. It is only through direct participation
in life that knowledge can be derived. How else could a spiritual being explore a dimension of duality except to create
and participate in that reality and experience it? We are divinely sanctioned
Creators. Creators of what? Experience. Why? To know the truth of that experience. To know the truth of... We create experiences for the same reason scientists
conduct experiments: to know the truth of something. What kinds of experiences are we here to know the truth of?
Any kind we want, we are denied nothing. We can choose to experience something difficult like a drug addict or a criminal,
or we can choose to experience what it's like to be a bookkeeper or a president. All experiences are equally valuable.
To judge otherwise is to restrict God to experience life only within specific parameters. We're here by divine design as ambassadors of God, for it is through us that God experiences. There is only one truth: the Truth that your divine awareness discovers. Since we are all creators of
our reality, don't even bother trying to defend your truth or try to convince someone else to make it theirs. Their
truth is equally real, equally true. Truth is only relevant to the individual creator. Our quest to know the truth of an experience will go on to infinity. How could there be an end? We could
choose to explore just one particular thought form for an eternity because each and every life time is a new experience.
Ultimately, we want to know the truth about ourselves - all acts of creation
are a reflection of the creator and through our creations we come to know who we are. This is the journey of the
Creative Mystic. A spiritual awakening that connects your life with your soul.
