CM Journal Pages 8: The Fundamental
DelusionI believe we have come to an extraordinary point in the evolution of our consciousness
where we are ready to awaken from a fundamental delusion. We are ready to awaken to the truth of who we are - powerful creators
of experience.
The fundamental delusion is that your life is NOT
a purposeful creation of God but that instead you are somehow separate from God and worse yet, FLAWED.
With this delusion your life denigrates from being a powerful creator to a
sinful wretch that needs to somehow earn your way back into the good graces of God and that you must purify your soul (usually
through tremendous pain and suffering) to become worthy enough. This current life becomes nothing more than a proving ground
for a promise of some grander life to come. We don't want to be here - we want to get to heaven, or nirvana, or the next
life; not here feeling separate from spirit and marooned on earth to work out our flaws. The popular pursuit of enlightenment is a similar perpetuation of this delusion using a slightly different
language however. It implies that we are not already enlightened but rather, full of imperfections. To become
enlightened it is said we must learn our lessons. We must rummage through the wreckage of previous incarnations, resolve any
and all unresolved issues, and try to avoid creating any additional karma for ourselves.
It's time to awaken to who you truly are. Instead of being born in sin
consider that we were born asleep as to who we truly are on purpose and for the purpose of creating an experience.
We are not flawed or here to suffer for our sins. That is the same as saying God is flawed. To buy into the idea that there
is something inherently wrong with being human only serves to carry on the delusion that this life, this experience, is not
first and foremost, a perfectly designed expression of creation by God. So,
it's no wonder why we have trouble being powerful creators. It's been much easier to hold onto the belief that
there is something inherently wrong with us and focus on the next life, rather than grapple with the fact that we are already
God and have purposely created this life experience. As soon as the going gets tough we can say to ourselves that we are being
tested as if only a good report card will make us worthy for that next life. The idea that this life is the
"heaven" we seek is totally avoided.
Heaven is Here
"Heaven is here. There is nowhere else. Heaven is now. There is no other time."
Excerpt from A Course in Miracles By divine design we are creators!
This means that we came from God and have, by divine design, created this life on purpose.
There is no other place to get to. This is it. Life IS a divine spiritual experience and truly the spirit in us
knows there is no place else that we would rather be. Do we evolve in
consciousness and have the experience of learning? Of course we do but this is not the primary purpose of our existence.
As a creator learning becomes the natural by-product or symptom of creating.
Have we finally reached the point in our evolution where we are ready to let go of the delusion that we are separate from
God and claim our true divine nature and authority as Creators? How would this perspective change your life?
