Take just a moment and imagine yourself as a pure spiritual
being - without physical form. The question I want you to ask yourself is; how do you create an experience?
We
are magnificent Creators of experience. But how exactly do we accomplish that?
I asked my Higher Guidance
this question and the answer was more intriguing and entertaining than a mystery movie.
Setting the Stage
Actually
it's not that far off from what a producer of a movie must contemplate. The entire plot and list of main characters is
one of the first bits and pieces to begin developing in concept. And so it is with our Soul. Our Soul starts with
an "I wonder..." thought to explore and commences to design the plot and list of supporting characters. "Setting
the stage" includes selecting the location, the time period, the character roles to be filled, the circumstances of the
characters, as well as many other considerations.
What fun it must be for our Souls to design and create an experience!
And the best part is yet to come...we are the characters and we get to live it!
A great plot
In order
for a movie to really hold our interest there are a number of tried and true components such as a compelling plot, conflict
or challenge, and of course, pursuit of love. The Soul puts this "movie" creation together and plays it out
in the game of life. We are one part of our Soul's creation and it is our role to experience the "movie" for
our Soul, and ultimately for the experience knowledge of God. The plot thickens when we realize that God's desire to know
the truth of an experience is manifest through the Soul, and it is not just a single Soul's desire for an experience but
an intertwining of innumerable Soul's creations. This makes life so much more interesting because experience is
always relative.
Experience is Relative
The only way to know an experience is in its relationship to something
else. If we're in a car going down the freeway and we look at the white lines on the road blurring by, we might conclude
that we are going very fast. If we look at the trees going by in the distance, we might conclude that we are moving more slowly.
Yet instead, if we look at the mountains off in the distance, it may appear that we are not moving at all. Indeed, we feel
as though we're on solid, flat earth when in fact we're hurling through space at a tremendous velocity on a round
planet. Fascinating when you really stop to think about it.
It is the same with us as creators of experience; we
are always creating experience relative to the creation of others. At the same moment you are in the midst of an experience,
so is everyone else; everything and everyone is affecting everything and everyone. Are you the main character at that
moment or are you a supporting actor in another's experience? How has your experience changed the experience of
another? How has their experience changed yours? It's all relative.
God, the ultimate movie buff
God is
the ultimate "movie buff" metaphorically speaking. God experiences knowledge, feelings, contrast, and duality
through these movies. God is also the one who establishes the context for the movies in the first place by an "I
wonder..." thought. To fulfill the Wonder, God creates instances of himself to explore the Wonder; these instances
are the Souls. Souls, as part of God, then create the plot, characters, roles, and everything else necessary to experience
the Wonder. Our Souls assign Character-Selves (you and I in real life) that actually live the movie. Our Character-Self is
the one who will take it out of the conceptual realm and practice it in real life. We are the part of God that actually
provides the experience for the Wonder of God!
That makes YOU so loved and valued!
In the
next CM Journal Pages we will explore some of the rules and default programming our Souls have to abide by in the creation
of an experience. Hint: it's like the Matrix.
