STATEMENT FROM BARBARA MARX HUBBARD
Our crisis is the birth of a cocreative universal humanity. We can see that
we are outgrowing the womb of Earth-bound consciousness. We have naturally over-populated, polluted and begun to destroy our
environment, before we even knew that we had an environment. We are the first species on Earth to know that we can destroy
ourselves by our own actions. We are also the first to know we can evolve ourselves by our own creativity and compassion.
This is the greatest wake up call that humanity has ever received. Despite the moral and spiritual teachings of all the great
systems, none have been able to move humanity toward a shared awareness that we are all members of this one planetary body.
The crisis of survival triggered by our planetary conditions, is having this effect.
There is timing in this planetary
phase change. We are in the “chaos window," as Ervin Laszlo puts it. We cannot go back to survive. We can only
go forward. Depending on the nature of the “strange attractor” that moves us out of this disequilibrium, we will
either decline rapidly in a more violent collapse…or we will converge, connect and resonate quickly enough to shift
the consciousness field of Earth. We will have a more gentle birth to the next stage of human evolution.
My sense
is that December 2012 is the marker for our consciousness shift on planet Earth. In my metaphor, day-by-day and minute-by-minute
we are getting closer and closer to an actual real time “planetary birth experience.” This experience will open
our collective eyes. We will smile our first “planetary smile.” Through own maturation to a higher consciousness
we will have shared contact with life that is beyond us. We will literally be born as a very young universal species.
